Type A

Type A fall arrest devices are essential solutions for ensuring safety when working at height, designed to offer protection on all types of roofs, including flat roofs, sloping roofs, and vertical walls. They come in the form of certified point safety hooks, for use with a double-lanyard harness, ideal for both maintenance activities and safe roof access.

These fixed, non-sliding anchoring systems are designed to withstand heavy loads and provide operators with a stable and safe attachment point. Type A devices are particularly suitable for complex, narrow, or irregularly shaped roofs, where installing a continuous lifeline would be less effective or more invasive.

Among the main advantages of type A fall arrest devices we find:

Ease of installation on a wide range of surfaces

Minimal visual impact, perfect for visible or architecturally valuable roofs

Versatility of use, with multiple operational applications

Main uses:
Safe Climbing Line: Type A hooks allow the operator to attach themselves while ascending to the work area, reducing the risk of slipping and falling along vertical or inclined cables.

Main lifeline: in the absence of continuous sliding systems, these point anchors allow safe movement thanks to the double lanyard, ideal for difficult roofs.

Secondary anti-pendulum points: allow the operator to attach themselves to a second lanyard, increasing the safe walking surface and preventing lateral falls at the ends of the lifeline.

Our Type A fall arrest devices are compatible with tiled, sheet metal, and insulated tile roofs, as well as masonry or concrete surfaces. They are available in a compact version or with a raised post and eyebolt, designed to facilitate access even under thick roofing, allowing direct attachment to the underlying structural elements.

Each hook complies with current safety regulations, tested to withstand the most demanding conditions, and certified to the standards required for working at height. Choosing certified point-based fall arrest devices means protecting workers with reliable, durable, and easy-to-install solutions.
